The small jobs that decide whether a house feels finished.

Interior Carpentry, Doors & Trim in Metro Atlanta, GA

Finish carpentry is the work people notice without being able to name. A door that latches on the first push. Casing mitered tight enough that you cannot find the joint. Baseboard that follows a wavy wall without a shadow gap behind it. A closet that uses its full depth instead of wasting the back eight inches.

It is also the easiest kind of work to judge a contractor on, which is why a good number of our bathroom clients started with a door or a run of trim. We hang and replace interior doors, re-case openings, run new baseboard and shoe, build out closets and shelving, and repair the trim damage that comes with any other work in the house. If a bathroom is already on the calendar, it is usually worth doing the doors and trim on the same visit rather than booking a second one later.

What's included

What a interior carpentry, doors & trim job covers

The scope below is what goes in the written estimate. If something is not on it, we will say so before you sign.

  • Interior doors

Pre-hung and slab doors hung plumb, hinges mortised, hardware fitted, and the door adjusted so it latches without being pushed.

  • Casing and baseboard

Openings re-cased, baseboard and shoe run and scribed to the floor, with miters glued rather than only nailed.

  • Closets and shelving

Shelf and rod, built-out closet systems, linen shelving and simple built-ins sized to the space.

  • Crown and wall detail

Crown molding, picture rail, board-and-batten and shiplap accent walls, laid out so the spacing lands evenly wall to wall.

  • Repairs and patching

Drywall patching, trim repair and touch-up paint after any other work in the house.

The process

Free estimate → design → demo → build → walkthrough

Five steps, in this order, on every project we take on.

  1. Free estimate

We come out, measure the room, talk through what you want and leave you with a written price. No charge, and no pressure to decide on the spot.

  2. Design & selections

Layout, tile, grout, glass, fixture finish, vanity and lighting all decided together — and checked against each other — before anything is ordered.

  3. Demo & prep

Floors and doorways protected, old material out and hauled away, then framing, blocking, substrate and waterproofing done properly.

  4. Build

Tile, glass, cabinetry and fixtures set. The owner is on site doing the work, not just checking in on it.

  5. Final walkthrough

We walk the finished room with you, write down anything that isn't right, and fix it before we call the job done.

Popular choices

Finishes and options people pick

A starting point, not a catalog. If you have seen something you like, bring the picture — matching an idea is most of the job.

Common requests

  • Flat hollow-core doors swapped for panel doors
  • Wider casing and taller baseboard to update a 1990s interior
  • Board-and-batten in an entry, dining room or stairwell
  • A barn door where a swing door has nowhere to go
