Flat substrate, planned layout, cuts where nobody looks.
Flooring & Tile Installation in Metro Atlanta, GA
Most tile failures are really floor failures. Tile does not flex, so anything that moves underneath it — a bouncy joist bay, a seam in the subfloor, a high spot at a doorway — eventually shows up as a cracked tile or a split grout line. We check deflection and flatness before quoting a floor, and we self-level or add underlayment where the measurements say to, rather than hoping a thicker bed of mortar will absorb the difference.
Then it is layout. We dry-lay the field to find where the cuts land, shift the starting line so the visible edges get full tiles, and run the pattern along the longest sightline in the room. Large-format plank tile goes down at a one-third offset at most, because a half-offset running bond on a long tile is how you end up with lippage you can feel barefoot. Transitions into adjoining rooms get planned at the start, not improvised on the last day.

What's included
What a flooring & tile installation job covers
The scope below is what goes in the written estimate. If something is not on it, we will say so before you sign.
Substrate preparation
Deflection and flatness checked, subfloor re-fastened where it moves, and self-leveler or underlayment added where the numbers call for it.
Layout
Field dry-laid and starting lines set so full tiles land at the sightlines and the cuts end up against the walls.
Setting and grouting
Large format back-buttered for full coverage, consistent joints, and movement joints at the perimeter and at every change of plane.
Transitions and trim
Thresholds, reducers, metal edge profiles and base trim handled as part of the job instead of left to someone else.
Plank floors
Where tile is not the right answer, luxury vinyl plank and engineered wood installed with the same prep and layout discipline.
The process
Free estimate → design → demo → build → walkthrough
Five steps, in this order, on every project we take on.
Free estimate
We come out, measure the room, talk through what you want and leave you with a written price. No charge, and no pressure to decide on the spot.
Design & selections
Layout, tile, grout, glass, fixture finish, vanity and lighting all decided together — and checked against each other — before anything is ordered.
Demo & prep
Floors and doorways protected, old material out and hauled away, then framing, blocking, substrate and waterproofing done properly.
Build
Tile, glass, cabinetry and fixtures set. The owner is on site doing the work, not just checking in on it.
Final walkthrough
We walk the finished room with you, write down anything that isn't right, and fix it before we call the job done.
